Pediatrics

You can now have your entire family seen at Mountain View and have a pediatric specialist for your children. Meet Kim Ottolenghi, aka Mrs. Dr. O. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care of children (CPNP-PC). Kim has been a CPNP-PC for 24 years and has worked in this capacity in clinics in Greeley and Fort Collins. Kim works alongside Dr. O so that if she is not in the office, Dr. O can handle situations while communicating with Kim. We try to make sure you meet them both when you come in to the office. See more about Kim in the “About Us” tab.

General Health

MEN’S HEALTH

This includes nutrition, physicality, hormones and mental health.

ADULT WELL CARE

We focus on preventative care. With regular health check-ups, we help you manage any current conditions and identify potential health issues before them become a problem our providers. We recommend the following preventative care for all or our patients.

  • Annual physical exam
  • Screening for colon cancer per current recommendations
  • Bone density test for women per current recommendations
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening for men is history of smoking
  • Immunizations for pneumonia, influenza, and tetanus
  • Assessment of disease risks
  • Necessary lab work or mammography

WOMEN’S CARE

We recommend a yearly exam for all women ages 21 and up.

Regular health exams and tests help to promote wellness and help find problems before they start. Through these exams, we are able to develop individualized care plans for each patient, discuss wellness strategies, and detect various changes early when chances for treatment and management are best. As a woman, you need some special exams and screenings. During your checkup, your health care provider will usually do:

  • A pelvic exam- an exam to check if internal female organs are normal through visualization and by feeling their size and shape.
  • A pap test- a test to check for cancer of the cervix, the opening to a woman’s uterus. Cells are collected from your cervix and then sent to a lab to be examined under a microscope.
  • A clinical breast exam- to check for breast cancer by feeling and looking at your breasts.

Your health care provider may also recommend other tests, including a mammogram, endometrial biopsy, or a test for HPV, depending on your individual needs.

PROCEDURES

The most common procedures we do in our office are:

  • Treatment of warts
  • Skin biopsies
  • Laceration repair and wound care
  • Casting of simple fractures
  • Ear wax removal

MENTAL HEALTH

We feel that mental health is perhaps the most important part of your health. We can help you identify issues, evaluate and make diagnoses and initiate a wide variety of treatment options to fit your needs and desires.

The most common disorders we treat are anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, substance use and/or abuse, marital and family discord, sleep problems, and/or anything that has you feeling less life satisfaction than you want to.
